Belanova is a Mexican electropop band formed in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2000 by Denisse Guerrero (voice) originally from Los Mochis, Sinaloa (Mexico), Edgar Huerta (programming and keyboards) and Ricardo "Richie" Arreola (bass and guitar), both from Guadalajara, Jalisco, MexicoTheir first album "Cocktail" was released in 2003 The first single called "Tus Ojos" had massive airplay on TV, being used on a Mitsubishi TV spot In 2005, they released their second album called "Dulce Beat", with the singles "Me Pregunto", "Por ti", and "Rosa Pastel" this album allowed them to become known in various Latin American countries and the United States, and even got them their first Latin Grammy nominationTheir music and their music videos which played on MTV Latin America became very well known and popular and even used in various commercials and TV spots Their success was such that they were picked by Disney to record a Spanish version of the song "What I've Been Waiting For" called "Eres Tú" for the Latin American version of the High School Musical soundtrackTheir 3rd album "Fantasia Pop" was released in 2007, with singles such as "Baila Mi Corazón" "Cada Que" and "One, Two, Three, GO!" it was certified gold just 3 days after it released
