ABOUT Music at The Intersection 2024

From the shores of West Africa to the islands of the Caribbean up through the Mississippi Delta, this music has traveled like a churning river-a life-giving force that replenishes the soul. Born out of tyranny, survival, joy, and the pursuit of freedom, it has become the pulse of American life-a rhythm coursing through our river city and its cultural kin. This fall, we are going to make our way to St. Louis to celebrate this great heritage of blues, jazz, soul, R&B, hip-hop, and rock 'n' roll. Over three days, in the streets and parks of the Grand Center, we will honor those legends who defined these sounds and welcome the next wave of music trailblazers.

Music at The Intersection was founded as a civic-led effort by the Kranzberg Arts Foundation, in partnership with the Steward Family Foundation and the Regional Arts Commission (RAC) of St. Louis
